Sweatsuits

By using my own sweat as a base for the salt printing process, I literally give my body to the images which appear on my “sweatsuits” (garments mimicking regalia or costuming appropriate to the individual’s culture) which tell stories of internalized or unseen trauma (through x-ray images, test results, visualizations of emotional pain) experienced by those close to me. I further engage with dream memory by restaging dreams I and those close to me have experienced for the camera, frequently reactivating the “sweatsuits” as props and costuming.
